Mia Butler-Wilburn Named Detroit PSL Female Athlete of the Year

A four-sport athlete, All-City volleyball player, Track & Field state qualifier, and BCAM Team First honoree, Mia Butler-Wilburn leaves Cody as the Detroit Public School League Female Athlete of the Year.
Congratulations to Mia Butler-Wilburn on being named the Detroit Public School League Female Athlete of the Year. This honor is beyond well deserved and a true reflection of the hard work, dedication, leadership, and character Mia has displayed throughout her four years at Cody High School.
Mia leaves behind an incredible legacy as a four-sport athlete: an All-City volleyball player, a Track & Field state qualifier in the high jump, a BCAM Team First Award winner for basketball, and a strong student maintaining a 3.2 GPA. She did it all while representing the Lady Comets across every season.
“I’ve had the pleasure of coaching Mia for the past four years, and watching her grow as both an athlete and young woman has been special,” her coach said. “She has represented Cody with pride, class, toughness, and consistency every step of the way.”
